Welcome to Standby Me. By making a reservation or staying at our facilities, you accept the conditions detailed here. Our goal is to ensure a safe, comfortable and respectful experience for all users.

  1. Check-in and check-out times
    • Check-in: from 2:30 p.m. onwards.
    • Check-out: until 11:00 am.

1.1. Early check-in and late check-out can be requested in advance. They are subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

1.2. Failure to check-out time may result in an additional night’s charge.

  1. Reservations and Cancellations

2.1 In order for a reservation to be considered confirmed, the corresponding payment or deposit must have been made.

2.2 The conditions applicable to cancellations, refunds or modifications of reservations are detailed during the reservation process, and will depend on the selected rate, which may be refundable, non-refundable, flexible, among others.

2.3 In case the person does not show up on the scheduled arrival date (no-show), the penalty established according to the contracted rate will be applied.

2.4 Standby Me reserves the right to cancel confirmed reservations in exceptional circumstances, such as force majeure, security reasons or in case of non-compliance with the rules. Should this occur, the user will be offered alternative accommodation or a refund of the amount paid.

  1. Minimum age and companions

3.1 In order to be accommodated, persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The registration process must always be carried out by a person of legal age, who will be responsible for those accompanying them.

3.2 Additionally, official documentation may be required to be presented to all persons staying, in order to verify both identity and age.

  1. Right of Admission

4.1 Standby Me reserves the right of admission and stay in its facilities.

4.2 Guests may be refused entry or expelled if:

      • Do not comply with the rules of coexistence.
      • Engage in activities that are illegal, dangerous or endanger others.
      • Present themselves in a state of drunkenness or under the influence of drugs.
      • Damage the facilities or disturb the rest of other customers.

In such cases, there will be no right to reimbursement.

  1. Rules of stay

5.1 Smoking is not permitted in rooms or enclosed common areas. Smoking is only allowed in outdoor areas that are duly authorized for this purpose.

      • The celebration of parties, private events or mass gatherings requires express authorization; they are not allowed to be held without such permission.
      • The volume of music, televisions and other electronic devices should always be kept at levels that do not disturb the rest and tranquility of others.
      • All guests are requested to show respect towards the staff, the rest of the people and the facilities. Any aggressive, violent or disrespectful behavior will result in immediate expulsion from the establishment.
  1. Payments, deposits and extras

6.1 The total payment corresponding to the reservation must be made within the deadlines established during the contracting process, thus ensuring the confirmation of the accommodation.

6.2 A security deposit may be required, which will be refunded at the end of the stay provided that no damage, loss or non-compliance with the established rules has occurred.

6.3 Additional services, such as consumption in the establishment, use of laundry, damages caused or late check-out, shall be invoiced and added to the final amount of the guest’s bill.

  1. Responsibility

7.1 Each guest is responsible for his or her belongings during the stay. The Standby Me establishment assumes no responsibility for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings both in the rooms and in the common areas.

7.2 Any damage caused to furniture, equipment or facilities will be invoiced and charged directly to the person responsible for the damage.

7.3 The owner of the reserve shall be jointly and severally liable for the behavior and obligations of all persons included in the reserve.

  1. Pets

8.1 Admission of pets will depend on the specific policy of the establishment and should be consulted in advance.

8.2 If admitted, pets must be under the control of their owners at all times.

8.3 Owners shall be liable for any damage or nuisance caused.

  1. Use of facilities and security

9.1 All safety, evacuation and facility use instructions must be observed.

9.2 Dangerous, flammable, illegal or harmful objects may not be brought onto the premises.

9.3 Use of common areas is limited to registered guests.

a) Data controller

Standby Me is responsible for the processing of personal data and undertakes to guarantee the security, confidentiality and appropriate use of the information provided by users.

b) Data processed

The data we may collect and process includes, but is not limited to:

      • Identification data (name, surname, identity document).
      • Contact information (telephone, e-mail, address).
      • Reservation and stay information (dates, number of people, services requested).
      • Payment and billing information.
      • Any other information that the customer voluntarily provides in communications with Standby Me.

c) Purpose of processing

Personal data will be processed for:

      • Manage the reservation, registration and stay in our facilities.
      • To provide the contracted services, including communications related to the reservation or stay.
      • Comply with legal and fiscal obligations, such as those derived from tourism, public safety or tax regulations.
      • Attend to queries, incidents or requests made by the client.
      • Improve our services, conduct satisfaction surveys and commercial communications related to similar products or services, provided that the customer does not object.

d) Legal standing

Data processing is based on:

      • The execution of the hosting contract and associated services.
      • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., communication of data to law enforcement agencies).
      • Legitimate interest in improving the quality of service and sending related information.
      • Express consent, when required for commercial communications not linked to the contractual relationship.

e) Data retention

The data will be kept for the time necessary for the management of the reservation and the stay, as well as for the fulfillment of legal obligations. Once these periods have expired, they will be duly blocked until their final deletion.

f) Data recipients

Your data may be communicated to:

      • Public Administrations and Security Forces when required by law.
      • Financial institutions for payment management.
      • Suppliers providing services necessary for the activity (IT management, maintenance, cleaning, etc.), with whom the corresponding confidentiality and processing contracts will be signed.

g) User rights

Interested parties may exercise their rights at any time:

      • Access: to know what data we process.
      • Rectification: request the correction of inaccurate data.
      • Deletion: request the deletion of your data when it is no longer needed.
      • Opposition: refusal of certain treatments (e.g. marketing).
      • Limitation: temporarily restrict the use of your data.
      • Portability: receiving data in a structured and commonly used format.

  1. Modifications to the Terms and Conditions

11.1 Standby Me reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. The modified versions will be duly published on the website, always ensuring that users can consult the current version.

11.2 The applicable conditions shall be those in effect at the time the reservation is made.

  1. Applicable law and jurisdiction

12.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be interpreted and governed in accordance with Spanish law, in particular in accordance with the regulations on consumers and users, tourism, data protection and other applicable provisions.

12.2 In the event of any dispute or conflict arising from the interpretation or execution of these terms, and provided that there is no mandatory rule to the contrary, the parties expressly agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of the city of Barcelona (Spain), waiving any other jurisdiction that may correspond to them.

12.3 This is without prejudice to the rights that consumer and user protection legislation may recognize the customer as such, in which case the provisions of the corresponding mandatory regulations shall prevail.
